Australia's Bustling Capital
Hostels in Canberra
Canberra has one of the highest number of hostels of any city and there is a huge choice of location and standards for holidaymakers. The largest concentration of hostels in Canberra can be located in and around the city centre on Mort and Dryandra St, but there are also many excellent establishments along Giles St and Canberra Ave - a few km from Parliament House. Facilities available to holidaymakers range from dorms with mod-cons, ensuite and cooking areas to plain rooms with just a few bunks. Some Canberra hostels have set times for checking in, although nearly all allow 24-hour access once you have paid. Prices start from $14 but go up to nearer $16 during summer periods and can fluctuate throughout the year. To book hostels in Canberra, view our accommodation section.
