Copenhagen Geography

Denmark’s capital city Copenhagen is situated on the island of Sealand. Denmark is located in northern Europe between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. It is the southernmost of the three Scandinavian countries and consists of a mainland peninsula, Jutland, and 406 islands.

In total, Denmark covers an area of about 44000 square km. Copenhagen, like the rest of Denmark can be described as very flat with a smooth and slightly rolling landscape.
