Costa Blanca: Fishing
The White Coast
The Costa Blanca is a haven for keen anglers with zander, perch, trout, pike, carp, barbel and bass available. The Amadorio and Guadalest dams provide the very best for freshwater fishing, but to catch fish such as tuna, grey mullet and mackerel, visitors will need to head out to sea in a boat, which can be chartered. A special angling licence, is required for fishing in reservoirs, rivers and estuaries on the Costa Blanca. There are both public and private waters on the Costa Blanca in Spain and an additional permit is required to fish in some of these. For example, if fishing for trout between March to August, a licence with the trout supplement on is required, and costs around €12.
