Costa Rica: Geography
Where the sun always shines
Costa Rica is coastal plain separated by craggy mountains, the Cordillera Central and the Cordillera da Talamanca. These form the backbone of Costa Rica and separate its almost equally-long Caribbean and Pacific coastlines. There are as many natural features as you could wish for – waterfalls, volcanoes and beaches amongst them. It has a tropical and subtropical climate, as well as unique mini-climates on the coastlines.
