Geneva Crime

Crime in Geneva is relatively low in comparison to other European cities. Petty crimes including pick pocketing occur at train stations and busier areas of the city but this can be avoided by keeping your belongings close to you and being vigilant. Carrying a money belt rather than a wallet or handbag can be safer. Try not to keep your money, cards and important documents all in the same place. If a crime takes place, call the police on 117.
