Geneva: When to go
The Peace Capital
Geneva is one of those cities that has an all year round buzz due to it being a global business and finance centre, and it attracts a continuous flow of visitors. The busiest time of year for tourists is usually during the spring and summer months. Because Geneva is easily accessible to ski resorts, its airport is especially busy during the winter months (Dec – April) with ski and snowboard enthusiasts especially during UK school holidays at Christmas, half term and Easter. There are a number of major conferences and city exhibitions throughout the year so it is best to book your visit to Geneva in advance to avoid disappointment and save money. Long weekend stays are popular in Geneva but discounts can be available if you stay for a minimum of one week. Low season rates will apply for accommodation and sights during the quieter months.
