Hotels in Geneva are vast and scattered throughout the city from the Old Town to the lakefront. Prices are often per room and not per person. If you are visiting the city on business, a special occasion, or you are just looking to indulge in something a little more extravagant, a large number of five-star luxurious boutique-style hotels can be found along the Quai du Mont Blanc of the west side of the lakefront. Hotels here regularly cater for the heads of states from all over the world and celebrities can often be spotted in hotels in this area. Hotel prices in Geneva are high and are usually over CHF250 per night.
The Old Town in Geneva is full of quaint hotels with plenty of character and a range of budgets to suit all visitors. With its central location it is a popular part of the city to stay in and hotels are extremely busy during the summer months. To avoid disappointment, try and book in advance (three months if possible). Hotel prices range between CHF100 and CHF200 per night. A large number of hotels are located by Gare Cornavin due to its convenience with local and national transport. The hotels are mostly lower budget and for tourists and prices range up to CHF 150 per night. Most hotels offer a bed and breakfast option or a bed, breakfast and dinner option.
