Granada: Geography

A City in the Southern province of Andalucia

Granada Geography

Granada is a city and the capital of the province of Granada, in the autonomous region of Andalusia, Spain. The geography of Grenada is part of the city’s appeal. The inland city of Granada sits at the point where the fertile plain of the Vega meets the Sierra Nevada and this often snow capped mountain range provides the city with a stunning backdrop. One surprising aspect of Granada’s geography is how leafy the city is. Granada defies the Andalucian stereotype of a dry, parched land by being very green.
