Greece: Suggested Itinerary

The Cradle of Western Civilization

Day 1: Arrive in Athens. Visit the Acropolis in the late afternoon, walk around the Plaka afterwards, before taking in some authentic cuisine.

Days 2, 3 & 4: Take a day-trip to either Delphi or Nafplio, the order is entirely up to you of course. Do take the time to visit the famous Meteora. Think about taking an organized tour if travelling with four or so people as it will most probably be incredibly cheaper.

Days 5 & 6: Get the early morning ferry to Santorini. One of the most-visited of the Greek islands, Santorini is somewhere you will want to spend at least a day or two getting to know and is sure to be a highlight of your trip.

Day 7: Take the ferry to Mykonos and spend a couple of days on this historic island.

Day 8: Take an excursion to Delos for the day and return to Mykonos for the evening.

Day 9: It’s up to you whether you want to spend a day visiting the likes of Rhodes, Crete or Naxos. Most go for Rhodes, for its cultural significance, though Crete is better if you want a more touristy outlet.

Day 10: Return to Athens for last glimpses of the former philosophy capital and fly home.
