Havana: When to go
Capital of Cuba
Havana is an excellent destination for tourists all year round, but when to go really depends on what you want from the city. In terms of the weather, Cuba has a balmy temperature of between 21-27 degrees on average throughout the year. For the beach lover, the drier season of November to April is more advisable than the rainy season of May to October. March, April and early May are particularly notable for their fine climate. In addition, Cuba is occasionally victim to hurricanes, owing to its position in the Caribbean, and these occur most frequently in September and October. The more expensive high season in Cuba is July/August, with peak season hitting December and January. Prices in Havana can jump significantly in these time periods, so be sure to plan your trip if visiting during this time, and book your accommodation in advance.
