If American and Canadian visitors don’t have a passport, they will need an original birth certificate and photo Passports are mandatory for travellers from anywhere else. Anyone visiting Jamaica needs a return, or an ongoing ticket. Depending on the airline, visitors from the UK may have to pay a departure tax when leaving Jamaica; this will usually be a little over J$1000 (€22)
