Kenya Crime

Unfortunately, one of Kenya’s biggest problems is crime, ranging from petty theft to mugging, armed robbery and carjacking. It is particularly bad in Nairobi, and to a lesser extent in Mombasa. Although tourists are rarely targeted, the best advice when in towns and cities is not to carry anything of value, including watches, jewellery, cameras and money. Most hotels with provide a secure place to leave your valuables. At night, don’t go anywhere on foot, always take a return taxi even for short distances.
