Kenya sits on the equator and is located on the east coast of Africa, part of the Great Rift Valley
stretching 6000 km from the Dead Sea in the Middle East to Mozambique in southern Africa.

Kenya is bordered to the north by Ethiopia and Sudan, to the east by the Indian Ocean and Somalia, to the west by Uganda and Lake Victoria, and to the south by Tanzania.

English and Swahili are the main languages of Kenya which are taught in schools throughout the country. Many indigenous languages, such as Kikuyu, Luo, Kikamba, Maasai and Samburu, as well as some minor tribal languages are also spoken. Hindi and Urdu are spoken by residents of the Indian subcontinent origin.
