Kuala Lumpur: Cruises
Easier to negotiate than Bangkok, less cosmopolitan than Singapore and more eclectic than Hanoi
Though Kuala Lumpur is located inland, away from the sea, a cruise holiday to Kuala Lumpur is increasingly becoming popular. Cruise ships will dock at Port Klang, which is a major cargo port in Malaysia and it holds a modern cruise terminal. It is 45 km southwest from Kuala Lumpur. Most cruise holiday stopovers are in Kuala Lumpur after travelling from their last port of call which could be Bangkok or Singapore. Cruise operators will usually organise sightseeing tours for their passengers to the city from Port Klang. You can also make your own way to the city in a taxi or private car hire if desired.
