Lanzarote: Disabled Needs

Lanzarote Disabled Needs

If you are travelling with a disability then it is best to book a private transfer or taxi in advance from the airport to your destination. Lanzarote airport is 5 kilometres from Arrecife, the island's capital, in the municipal district of San Bartolomé. Although the airport is well equipped for disabled people and provides ramps, accessible doors and toilets, as well as designated areas outside the departures and arrivals lounges where disabled passengers can be dropped-off or picked-up, throughout the rest of the island, disabled facilities hardly exist. When planning a visit to Lanzarote, disabled tourists should check the travel conditions and hotel or apartment facilities with their travel agent before making a booking.
