Morocco does offer a wide range of challenging and not so challenging cycle routes, the best of which are away from the regions with the heaviest traffic. Perhaps the best way to enjoy a cycling holiday in Morocco is through booking an organised tour. These tours have been planned with a view to enabling you to enjoy the presents a variety in geography and culture that Morocco has to offer from start to finish, as well as taking into consideration the safety of the route with regard to traffic. Many of the routes have been graded to match the fitness and experience of riders too. One such route would be to over about four weeks, cycling in a loop from Casablanca through Meknes, Midelt, Er-Rachidia, Ouarzazate, Marrakesh, Safi and returning to Casablanca. These routes generally involve a combination of mountain biking and road touring. If you prefer mountain biking on its own, then the best tracks are found in western and central High Atlas, the Saghro and Sirwa massifs, as well as Mount Tidighin in the Rif Mountains. The desert also provides many opportunities for mountain biking.
