Moscow Population

The population is clocked at just under 10.4million Muscovites, which underlines its status as the largest European city. However since the fall of the Soviet Union (communism), the population has been declining, due to a low birth rate. The main language of the city is Russian however there are various other regional variations spoken from its close neighbours (i.e. Ukrainian, Kosovan). Russia is second only to the United States in numbers of the very rich, with 74 billionaires as registered residents of Moscow.
