New York: Hiking Activity Holiday
We love NYC!
It’s amazing how such an urban landscape as New York is still able to retain so much natural habitat for visitors who want to take a hiking holiday in the city. There are dozens of trails and paths in Central Park offering spectacular views of Manhattan in the background. The park is over 800 acres of meadows, ponds, hills, and lawns for your hiking pleasure. Don’t forget about the other boroughs with many other parks such as Pelham Bay Park, Marine Park, Prospect Park, and Blue Heron Park – all perfect for hikers to get closer to nature. Be sure to check online for available trail maps and hiking tours available through groups or the park service. Take plenty of water and snacks and make sure to only hike during the daytime unless you are part of a planned event and are hiking in a group.
