New Zealand: Beach
Land of the Long White Cloud
A beach holiday in New Zealand isn’t perhaps the first thing that comes to mind if you’re thinking of travelling to the country, but many of New Zealand’s beaches are truly stunning, and a wide variety of water sports are available. Beaches north of Auckland aren’t the best for sunbathing, but are popular with windsurfers and other outdoor sports enthusiasts – the hard sand of Ninety Mile Beach in Northland – the longest beach in New Zealand - is well suited to biking. Other beaches in New Zealand, such as at Mount Maunganui, Whangamata and Ohope Beach, are great places for surfing, and there are also plenty of remote sandy beaches where you can enjoy a safe beach holiday in New Zealand.
