Peru Costs

Peru is one of the cheaper countries to visit in South America, but not the cheapest. Prices will be lower away from the main tourist centres and in low season. Even though the UK pound has dropped in value on the foreign currency markets, the British traveller will still find many bargains here. If you are on a budget, you should be able to get by in Peru on about £15 per day without too many difficulties. Off-peak travel will often enable you to get the best deals, as will travelling with a companion because the difference between the price of a single and double room is seldom great.
