Poland Crime

Thieves and pickpockets are the biggest crime hazards for tourists in Poland. Use of common sense, keeping an eye on your belongings and not displaying expensive technological gadgets and cash, should reduce the risk of you becoming a victim of crime. It is usually safe to walk around the city centres at night, however, some of the suburbs outside of the city centres should be avoided. Hooliganism in Poland is also rife, football stadiums should be avoided on match days, as riots are common.
