The Eternal City
While Rome has is said to have become a haven for Italian golf enthusiasts, it is still not a popular golfing destination for visitors abroad. Although the Italian golf federation is seeking to develop its golf infrastructure, you made find golfing sessions expensive and you will have to travel out of the main city to play. Golfing is not a big thing in southern Italy; it’s more popular in the north around places like Milan, and is a more exclusive and elitist sport than elsewhere in Europe. There are about four or five golf clubs in and around Rome so if you’re looking to add a couple days of golfing to your holiday itinerary, then the wonderful green areas around of the city make golfing in Rome a pleasant experience. Thanks to the ideal climate of the city, golf courses in Rome and the surrounding areas can be used all year.
