Seville: When to go
Tapas bars, nightlife and stylish people
With its wonderful southern climate, you can go to Seville for a fantastic break at any time of year. One of the best times to go is in the Spring – if you go to Seville before Holy Week, you’ll find the city bustling with preparations for the festival – with the people full of anticipation and Seville making sure it’s ready to show itself off at its best. If you are planning to go to Seville around this time, however, just make sure you don’t need to arrive or leave on Easter Sunday or Palm Sunday, as you’ll have a hard job battling through the crowds.
If weather is a factor for you when deciding when to go to Seville, bear in mind that the winters - though not freezing - can be chilly. Equally, the high Summer months can become unbearably hot and the Seville locals tend to leave the city at this time to escape the heat. So, if you want to enjoy the best of the weather, then go to Seville between March and June - you’ll find warm temperatures, a beautiful city full of flowers and orange trees and bustling preparations for Seville’s upcoming festivals.
