The biggest attraction in Sharm el Sheikh lies beneath the surface of the Red Sea. The diving in Sharm el Sheikh is world class and it’s definitely worth having a dip to see what all the fuss is about. If you’ve never been diving and don’t have the time to go for your license, some companies offer introductory dives for complete novices.
It’s a great way to see some of the spectacular reef while getting a feel for diving. For experienced divers, there’s a wealth of fantastic diving in Sharm el Sheikh with the Ras Mohammed National Park offering some of the best diving in the region with over 200 types of coral, 1,000 species of fish, and the shipwreck of the SS Thistlegorm.
