Sharm el Sheikh: Crime
Palm trees, turquoise skies & majestic mountains
Sharm el Sheikh was the scene of Egypt’s worst ever terrorist attack in 2005. Since the attack, security in the city has been extremely high and there’s a subtle but strong police presence there. As such, levels of crime are very low making it a very safe city to visit. As with any overseas trip, common sense will ensure you have an incident free holiday. Keep valuables locked in a safe, don’t venture into quiet, dark areas alone after dark, and watch your valuables when on the beach.
