South Africa: Disabled Needs
A World in One Country
Holidays in South Africa for Disabled people
South Africa has numerous places and activities all over the country that welcome people with disabilities – nature reserves, safari parks, crocodile farms, mountain cable rides, helicopter tours, boat rides, and more. Generally speaking, the facilities for disabled visitors in South Africa are good. Almost every national park has at least one accessible chalet and many accommodation establishments (other than backpacker hostels) have one or two wheelchair-friendly rooms. Most of the country’ sports stadiums have accessible suites, stands or areas for wheelchairs near accessible parking as well as toilet facilities for disabled visitors. Most public buildings also cater for wheelchair access.
