South of France: Winter Sun
Beautiful, modern but cultural, exotic tastes and bread that tastes stale by lunchtime
Just like the UK, the South of France does not have much luck with winter sun. With bitterly-cold winds and much of the glamour being locked away for next season, the South of France is not a winter sun holiday destination. That said, for those not looking for sun but just a winter break, bracing walks along the beach and chocolat chaud in beach front cafes appeal to many. Those looking for a winter sun holiday would be better suited to the nearby Canary Islands or the Balearics. Although the South of France does not make an ideal winter sun destination, the region is still a great choice for those looking for a break.
