Sydney: Canoeing

The Cultural Hub of Australia's East Coast

The Canoe Association of New South Wales has a range of clubs throughout Sydney, and it is easy to arrange and organise a canoeing holiday in Sydney. Mosman and Beechgrove are perhaps the best districts to hire equipment and take a tour. Canoeing in Sydney allows you to explore hidden coves and private hideaways and destinations where boats cannot reach - trips from Lavender Bay head under Sydney Harbour and go towards Bradley’s Head, stopping at secluded beaches along the way. In general, Sydney guided canoeing tours can last for a couple of hours - also suitable for families with children; or whole day expeditions for more adventurous travellers. No previous experience is needed as many of the water sport centres in Sydney have qualified instructors to help you through the basics in canoeing in a safe environment.
