The city of Vancouver is situated on the Lower Mainland of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. Vancouver covers an area of 114 square kilometres, forming part of the the Burrard Peninsula. It lies adjacent to the Strait of Georgia, with the Fraser River to its south and Burrard Inlet (the city’s main harbour) to the north. Whilst Vancouver looks out to the Pacific Ocean, its backdrop is the spectacular Coast Mountain Range.
