Venezuela: Disabled Needs

South America's Hidden Gem

Unfortunately there are almost no facilities for the disabled in Caracas and Venezuela. Disabled accesses via ramps are unheard of in here. There are just a few ramped pavements in some of the more affluent neighbourhoods in Caracas– making a disabled vacation here a real challenge. Again only a handle full of restaurants and the larger shopping malls in Caracas have disabled toilets. Most of the five star hotels in Caracas, and throughout Venezuela, have at least one disabled room, so you will need to stay at one of these on a disabled holiday in Venezuela. Caracas’ metro does try to accommodate wheelchairs users with mixed success. Given the expensive and difficulty of getting around, it is probably best not to have a disabled holiday in Caracas or Venezuela.
