The nightlife in Caracas has a reputation for exuberance – you can easily dance the night away in one of the numerous nightclubs here. If you love Latin dancing, the nightclubs and salsa clubs in Caracas are a great place to dance to lively local bands while enjoying a few drinks. The Centro Comercial San Ignacio is popular with young Caraqueños looking to party in Caracas. Many clubs and discos have a cover charge or require a minimum number of drinks. Popular nightclub and bars in Caracas include El Leon, Whisky Bar and El Mani es Asi. More cultural pursuits take place in the Teresa Carreno Cultural Complex, one of the most important performing arts venues in Venezuela. The nearby Ateneo de Caracas and the Teatro Rajatabla also offer theatrical performances. The Isla Margarita is also known for its lively nightlife. The main town of Porlamar has some great bars and nightclubs as does the smaller town of Pampatar. You’ll also find some casinos on Isla Margarita if you fancy your luck on the poker tables.
